Full Belly Farm

Happy New Year everyone. 2012 promises to be a year full of learning, growing, smiling, laughing, and filling bellies! 

Full Belly Farm is leasing land from Jim and Christina Sesby at Heritage Farm where we will be growing organic and biodynamically raised produce and flowers. We hope to share our goodies at the weekly Saturday Market in Friday Harbor, WA starting this April of 2012.

We're cozying up with seed catalogs, graph paper, calculators, and certitude that this year will provide endless lessons about farming in the Pacific Northwest. We are so happy to finally be on San Juan Island and we look forward to sharing our thoughts and produce with everyone come Spring!

Hello! Welcome to The Blog of Full Belly Farm.

We're hoping to use this blog to help document the evolution of Full Belly Farm over the coming weeks, months, and years. The Board of Directors have been hard at work establishing a strong foundation for the organization and we're trying our hardest to come up with ways to be the most beneficial to our community and its needs for fresh, organic fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

It is here on this page that we intend to post pictures, videos, calls for input, and other philosophical musings. We are going to try our very best to keep the blog updated so that our friends, family, supporters, and our entire community can stay involved in the development of Full Belly Farm.

As always, we welcome any and all comments and look forward to sharing our successes and (hopefully not too many) challenges. Check back in early January to see some pictures of our new home in the San Juan Islands! Until then, we hope that you enjoy the holidays and your bellies stay full!
