Full Belly Farm is a Washington State 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Public Benefit Organization; established to provide affordable, sustainably-raised, and organically grown vegetables, fruits, and flowers to San Juan County families and individuals of limited means, to offer education to the community about the environmental consequences of our food consumption decisions, and to experiment with alternative, sustainable agricultural practices.
We are always fundraising to meet our operating expenses. Please contact us to learn about how you can make a tax deductible donation today, and thanks!
We hope to fill as many bellies as possible with our fresh organic vegetables while simultaneously enhancing the quality of our soils and promoting biodiversity on our land and educating children throughout the process.
"...[T]he understanding that agriculture can serve life only if it is regarded as a culture of healthy relationships, both in the field - among soil organisms, insects, animals, plants, water, sun - and in the human communities it supports..." from Frances Moore Lappe, "The Food Movement: Its Power & Possibilities" in The Nation 11, 14 (October 3, 2011).
"We often speak of 'producing food,' but farmers do not produce the food of life. Only nature has the power to produce something from nothing. Farmers merely assist nature." -- Masanobu Fukuoka
